Maybe this is a good thing...

I'm thinking that perhaps the best way to express myself would be to just put it out there in the universe instead of bothering someone with my thoughts. I don't have anything scandalous or juicy to share - just random thoughts that often keep me up at night. It was suggested to me that I start a blog, as a "release" of sorts. So, as I sit here in a quiet house, on the couch, enjoying a day off from work, listening to Will and Grace reruns, I've decided to dive into the world of blogging....

And wouldn't ya know? The thoughts in my head suddenly come to a screeching halt. IMAGINE THAT. :)

********

Back....trying to jump start my blog, which I was excited about until I got to the part when I had to start typing. Is this what writer's block is about? Because it sucks! I have so much to "say" but can't get it "down on paper" - wow. I have a newfound respect for writers. I follow blogs of friends, and it seems as though they are never at a loss for thoughts or words. I hope I can get to that point. My thoughts are the cause of so many sleepless nights, or restless nights I should say. Sometimes I replay the day's events in my mind. If it was a particularly good thing that happened, I enjoy replaying it. If it was a confrontation at work, or a stressful situation, or a serious conversation with a friend, or something of the sort, I always analyze the crap out of it - did I react appropriately? I should have said....how could I have diffused the situation? Are my co-workers happy with the way I handled it?
Hopefully blogging will help me with this. I'm always on the computer right up until I head to bed, so why not??? And anyone who knows me, knows I'm a talker :)

Since writer's block has smacked me in the head, I'll just post two recent pictures of my beautiful baseball players :)

Left: Spring Shoot Out Champs!! Garrett is the handsome, filthy one in the middle :) He loves baseball so much, and he makes his daddy and me SO proud. He's a natural too :)
Right: Start Smart Baseball is an introduction to the sport for 2.5 - 3 year olds. It's offered through my work (Effingham County Recreation and Parks), and is a great way for parents to get involved with their toddler, while the kids are introduced to a sport, and possibly a future in sports. Macie loved it. I hope she plays softball and loves it like I did.
